This feature so far seems to be in its infancy. I like it as it allows me to listen to my songs without opening my notebook. Great for travel, no need to carry yet another widget along!Here are couple for links for further reading:

Windows Vista SideShow
SideShow is a secondary display available in some select notebooks that run the new Windows Vista. This display allows the notebook user to play MP3s, read emails, check calendar, maps etc without really opening and starting the notebook. Sounds like a great idea, but I could find this feature only in some high-end notebooks.
This feature so far seems to be in its infancy. I like it as it allows me to listen to my songs without opening my notebook. Great for travel, no need to carry yet another widget along!
